Big Hugs For Elmo

December 29, 2013 Karlene Stewart Leave a comment Reviews

I bought the Elmo Hugs Plush toy for my 2 year old son and I quite like it. I thought of this particular toy firstly due to it being an educational toy, and experts do indicate where educational toys can assist children with learning, and secondly since my son seems to love Elmo, just judging from how excited he gets when he watches any program on television that has Elmo.

Having bought the Big Hugs Elmo Plush Toy, I’d say that parent supervision is highly recommended if using with a 2 year old. My son kept pulling on the eyes, slapped it around on the bed, or kept saying “leave me alone Elmo”. On the contrary, my 6 year old son bonded very well with Big Hugs Elmo and enjoyed hearing it sing. My 2 year old liked hearing Elmo say “Elmo loves you” and he’d in turn respond “I love you too Elmo.” He enjoyed all the hugs and would even kiss Elmo. But he just wasn’t very careful with Elmo, and based on the manual instructions the Big Hugs Elmo Plush toy has to be handled with care; you shouldn’t bend the arms, shouldn’t put it to lie on its belly and so on. The box does indicate that the age range is from 18 months to 4 years old, so it should be an appropriate toy for a 2 year old. I would definitely recommend it, especially considering that it is sold on Amazon for a low price of just $39 to $49, and it does so many things – it hugs, says “Elmo loves you,” sings and even snores when going off to sleep. A very interactive and enjoyable toy for a child.
